Anne has been fascinated with interlacements of color and fiber from her first memories. She grew up in Colonial Williamsburg, a living-history community in Virginia. Anne was introduced to traditional textile methods at a very early age by Master Weaver Norman Kennedy, who was an interpreter there. She began spinning and knitting at age 8 and has always worked in original design. Early training in traditional Scottish Tartan weaving holed her basic weaving skills and developed her noted eye for proportion and color harmony.
